This is also referred to as “Hole Spacing.” Available center to centers include: 4.625”. 4.88”, 3.375”, 4”, 5.75”, 5.875”, 6.25”
What finishes and styles are available?
Door knockers are typically installed one of two ways. Some door knockers require two holes to be drilled through the door and the door knocker is then attached by hardware that it comes with, however others are simply screwed to the door.
After you have determined how your door knocker is installed measure where the door knocker will go directly in the middle at the width or the door and at a reasonable height for an adult to knock the door at. Most door knockers come with a template of where the screws or holes should go, but if your knocker did not, it is easy to mark on a piece of paper. After marking where the screws/holes will go and follow the installation instructions.
